Señor Llufrio

Hillsboro Senior High School

Spanish teacher

About Sr. Llufrio

After graduating from MICDS in St. Louis, I matriculated at the University of Missouri - Columbia. I graduated from Mizzou with a Bachelor's degree in both Philosophy and Spanish. I decided to move back to the St. Louis region to start on an advanced degree.

While in St. Louis I started a program for a Master's degree in Education with a certification in K-12 Spanish; I am currently certified for K-12 Spanish and working on the final two courses of my M.Ed as well as joint certification in other subjects. This is my first year in the Hillsboro School District, and in the past I have worked as a substitute teacher for the Ladue, Kirkwood, Fox, and MICDS School Districts. I also completed my student teaching at Fox High School. I have also worked as a translator and tutor with the Hazelwood School District.

While in high school, my love for Spanish began when my family hosted an exchange student from Mexico twice, and then I lived in Mexico and attended school there at two different times. I followed this up by visiting Mexico again during college. I went on another study abroad mission as a college senior to Sevilla, Spain to study architecture and history in the South of Spain.
